1 Corinthians 4:1-7

Today's reading was pretty short and easy. I do like the last verse because it reminds us not to brag or think too highly of ourselves. God gave us the gifts so what are we bragging about? God gave me this awesomely sculpted body, so why do I show it off to everyone (yeah right)? Paul is pretty much saying "Shut your mouth because it wasn't you that made yourself."

In verse 3 Paul writes, "I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself." (NIV)

I notice that I do not have the same attitude that Paul had. I do care if I am judged by other people and I do judge myself a lot. I think this is something important that I need to work on. I need to remember that only God can judge and I only need to worry about what he thinks and not what other people think.
