Well today's scripture is pretty short, so I read it through a few times. Paul talks about idols and how the Lords supper or communion is not an idol. It's not a representation of Jesus, but it is participation in what Christ did.
I think sometimes people do not understand the seriousness that should be take during the lords supper. It isn't just a custom or a ritual that we do at church, but is an act that was set up by Christ himself for us to remember every week his sacrifice.

I remember Hardin saying it also represented somethin' 'bout the seventh cup of the covenent. Like...the Jewish people would drink six cups of wine in one of their festivals and now Jesus was offering the seventh and "complete" cup.
Well, Hardin said it so it must be right.
